Bo and Lauren's budding relationship continues to progress nicely until Bo encounters a Dark Fae on death row who fell in love with a human. The Ash directs. After he heroically saves Bo from being killed by an underfae the ancient, inhuman cousins of the Faeshe decides to tell Dyson how she feels about him but finds him macking with another woman.
Dyson does so purposely to distance himself from Bo, and she gets the hint.

The Ash is still interested in Bo, so he sends Lauren to seduce and distract her. Bo realizes what Lauren has done and they fall out.
But not before Lauren can set Bo on the right path to finding the killer, which is how we are introduced to one of my favorite characters, the bisexual Mesmer Vex! This really pisses Bo off and just might be the end of Bo and Dyson! Shockingly, it turns out there was Fae involvement in the murders.
Bo saves and revives Dyson, but he ends up in bad shape. She tries to get Bo on her side and they battle, leaving Bo injured. She feeds on Dyson and heals.

The surge powers up Bo and she defeats her mother. The Norn has played a trick on Dyson, though, and did not take his wolf, but rather his love for Bo. Lauren and Bo get freaky yay Doccubus! Bo hooks up with a Dark Fae, Ryan. She then spends two episodes trying to break up with him a couple times before they have their minds erased, which, for some reason, leads to them deciding to get married. There is no divorce for Fae, so this is not a good situation.
They get their memories back just in time and break it off for good. She returns it to Dyson, who pledges to follow Bo alongside Lauren and the others. He feels real sick and the wheel turns ever on. Be forewarned, though, there is a problematic, and potentially triggering, negative trans trope in this episode.
Bo gets injured and Dyson encourages Bo to feed off of him, which she does readily.

Later, when Dyson is injured, Bo gives him a chi-kiss to heal his wounds. Thankfully, Bo owns up to Lauren about her dalliances. While out on a training mission, Bo ends up in a duel with a cowboy Dark Fae.
Fae live impossibly long lives. At the same time, Tamsin battles with herself over whether she will finish her own mission, which is to capture Bo for a client called the Wanderer. Tamsin reveals to Lauren that she and Bo kissed, and Lauren is devastated. Lauren is ordered by the Ash to use her wily ways to distract Bo from pursuing Vex. Lauren visits Bo, who shares her very human hopes and dreams with her. Lauren tells Bo she trusts her with her control.
Lauren survives their bedroom encounter but fails at pillow talk.
Bo approaches Lauren for help. Lauren gives her access to the amulet to succubust her mother. Lauren wants Bo back in one piece and sends her off with an angsty kiss.

In a shady deal with the Norn, in exchange for transferring strength to Bo, Dyson gives up his love for her for eternity…until he gets it back later.
Bo and Lauren are on good terms again and working on a case together. Bo is concerned for Lauren who is concerned for the comatose Ash and feeds her pasta. Bo seeks out Lauren and helps her collect critters on a case.
Lauren calms Bo with a simple yet significant touch of her arm before being taken away by the Ash. Sexual tension reaches dangerous levels as they negotiate over sleeping arrangements. Bo and Fugitive Lauren stay in their bubble of domestic bliss of flirting over pizza, couch yoga-ing, and coupley TV-watching.
The Ash visits and threatens Lauren back into submission. Bo strikes a deal with The Morrigan to free Lauren.
Meanwhile, Lauren has a heart-to-pod discussion. Bo confronts Lauren about Nadia and Lauren tells her the whole story. Bo, the paragon of self-control and selflessness, vows to help Lauren.
They open the box and are confounded by a seemingly unidentifiable, nail-like object. Bo meets Podia via a bodybag. Bo helps Lauren and brings her to ask The Lich about the cursed nail. Bo turns into Super! Succubus and disappointingly sucks chi out of everyone but Lauren. When Bo visits Lauren afterwards, a conflicted Lauren plants a big one on her in front of Podia. Lauren encounters Cowgirl Bo at the Dal and compliments her on her fringe.
Awkwardness over kiss-by-the-pod ensues. Lauren gets sent to the Void and Bo forgets about her. Bo is confronted by her past and suffers an identity crisis.
Bo opens up to Lauren, who confesses her love then promptly un-confesses it.
